I have been thinking alot about motivation lately and how it affects what we do in ministry. The Bible says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.” Who wants to labor in vain; to work for nothing? Who wants to expend time, energy, and resources into something that you hope will have eternal value when God is not involved? On the other hand, if God is building something and He has called you to be a “co-laborer together with him” and you hide your gifting, your “talent”, then you will have to give an account as to why you did not move forward in faith and diligence in the thing that He was calling you to. What has God called you to do? Have you let the Holy Spirit “discern the thoughts and intents” of your heart through the Word of God, not just once, but daily? I will be posting more on motivation over the next few days. Stay tuned!
